Alongside a sought-after location comes the challenge of meeting local housing needs, and we provided 20 houses and apartments for social and affordable rent and shared ownership to local people in partnership with Hafod Housing.
To blend the 50 new-build homes with the existing neighbourhood, our designers selected traditional materials, including red brick, render and stone, along with slate grey roof tiles, and specified hedge-lined boundaries.
Our landscaping design enhanced biodiversity and supported wildlife and we collaborated with a local company and artist to create a bespoke, nature-based play area, opened by local primary pupils.
Our £400,000 community benefits package contributed to local schools, sustainable transport and community facilities. We were delighted to sponsor the local football club’s first team and, for every home we sold, a contribution was made to our Edenstone Foundation, which supports causes and charities local to our developments.
