New show home marks the halfway point for new community in Morriston

June 8, 2023 | Edenstone blog, In the news

With 150 homes occupied and a new show home opening, Edenstone is celebrating a double milestone in Morriston.

Outline planning permission for the 300-home Parc Ceirw Garden Village scheme, was granted in January 2018.

Construction of homes began in summer 2019 and an information centre opened on site that autumn. Since then, the 35-acre site has developed into a vibrant new community, where people love living. A new show home is opening soon to offer buyers fresh inspiration.

Edenstone Group sales director Adele McCoy said: “At Parc Ceirw we’re addressing a need for a range of housing options in Morriston and the wider Swansea area. The fact 150 homes are now occupied, which is half of all the properties planned across the new community, speaks volumes for our ability to deliver the homes people want and need. We’re catering for a broad market segment including first time buyers, families and downsizers.

“People queued before the original Edenstone Homes show bungalow opened in spring 2020. For some time, we’ve had show homes available to view on the Bluebell Homes phase, but nothing to showcase the Edenstone designs. While that hasn’t deterred buyers, we’re looking forward to opening our new Monmouth show home.”

The Monmouth is a generously proportioned. double fronted property designed for modern living. There’s a lounge at the front, with a dedicated study on the opposite side of the hallway. A convivial open plan kitchen, dining and family room, overlooks the garden. A utility room and downstairs cloakroom complete the ground floor.

Upstairs the main bedroom benefits a dressing room and en-suite, with the large family bathroom serving the remaining three bedrooms.

Across Parc Ceirw Garden Village, a good choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes are being built, including bungalows.

An access road to the seven acres of community facilities at the basin of the site is now in place. The area will become home to a play area, kick about area, and nature trail. There will also be natural habitat areas, plus a community hub building, external amphitheatre, electric car charging facilities and gym equipment.

In addition to homes and community facilities, Parc Ceirw Garden Village will also bring substantial investment in existing facilities in the local area. The Group will invest around £750,000 in Cwmrhydyceirw Primary School with funding earmarked for new classrooms, travel planning, plus additional funding for highways improvements including a pick-up and drop-off point and a zebra crossing.

The sales office and show homes at Parc Ceirw Garden Village are open daily from 10.30am to 5pm. The Monmouth is due to open this summer.
