The final homes at Parc Ceirw Garden Village in Morriston are now on sale – five years after work on the scheme began.
Clearance and preparatory works at the 35-acre site started in September 2019. An information centre opened the following month to showcase plans for the 280-home new neighbourhood.
Edenstone Group initially released homes on the first phase off plan, before a show bungalow opened in March 2020. That first phase was exclusively bungalows, the rarest of new build homes. It earned the development the title of Insider Wales Residential Development of the Year 2021. Further phases included a good mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes. Show homes under the Bluebell Homes and Edenstone Homes brands were opened to demonstrate the layout, quality and finish of the properties.
When a four-bedroom detached Monmouth style show home opened last September, more than half of the homes were occupied.
Edenstone Group sales director Adele McCoy said: “Parc Ceirw Garden Village is a landmark development that’s provided much-needed new homes in Morriston, attracting buyers from across Swansea and beyond. Over the past four and a half years we’ve welcomed hundreds of people into their new homes. Those who bought in the early phases have helped shape the new community, making it a place where people really love living. The vast majority of homes are now build complete and occupied, with just two properties still available to buy. Based on the success of the wider development, it shouldn’t be long before we’re putting up the sold sign. It really will be the end of an era for the entire team.”
There are just two homes remaining for sale – a three-bedroom semi-detached Chepstow, available from £299,995 and a four-bedroom detached Monmouth, from £499,950.
The Chepstow has a lounge at the front of the property and a combined kitchen, dining and family room, with French doors opening out to the rear garden. There’s also a utility and cloakroom. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, one with en-suite, plus the family bathroom.
The Monmouth a generously proportioned, double fronted detached style property. There’s a lounge at the front, with a dedicated study on the opposite side of the hallway. A convivial open plan kitchen, dining and family room, overlooks the garden. A utility room and downstairs cloakroom complete the ground floor. Upstairs the main bedroom benefits a dressing room and en-suite, with the large family bathroom serving the remaining three bedrooms.
Along with new homes, Edenstone is providing a host of community facilities, set amid seven acres at the basin of the site. These include an equipped children’s play area, circular fitness trail and a community hub, featuring a studio and gym.
Linked to the development, Edenstone has made substantial investment to the wider area, including funding towards the cost of three new classrooms at nearby Cwmrhydyceirw Primary School and highways improvements.
