FEATURING a Star Wars inspired bedroom, a new view home in Dinas Powys is sure to appeal to fans of the film franchise.

The four-bedroom Tenbury view home is one of just two properties available at The Woodlands. With such limited availability prospective purchasers will need to act fast if they don’t want to find themselves on the dark side.

Adele McCoy, sales director for Edenstone Homes, said:

“The Tenbury is a surprisingly spacious four-bedroom home that needs to be seen to be appreciated. We’ve furnished one of the final two properties at The Woodlands to give visitors an idea of what it could be like as their family home.

“We’ve thought about who might live here and what their hobbies and interests might be when styling the Tenbury. Star Wars is a classic film with fans spanning across generations. Visitors young and old will love the themed bedroom we’ve created with artwork depicting the classic line that opens every film. A lightsaber and Darth Vader mask on the walls, plus cushions in the shape of some of the iconic characters continue the theme. Bedding features the constellations, while industrial style bedsides and lamps complete the look.”

All four bedrooms are doubles, with the master benefitting from an en-suite to complement the family bathroom.

“Grey remains a popular neutral thanks to its versatility. We’ve furnished the master bedroom with grey wooden bedsides and dressing table, adding paisley print bedding and curtains, plus an art deco style fan mirror to create an elegant look,” Adele added.

“Similar grey bedsides can be found in the bedroom we’ve styled as the daughter of the family’s room. It features a desk where she could do her homework, with a statement pink headboard and coordinating soft furnishings adding a splash of colour.”

There’s also a timeless guest room styled in soft shades of green.

Downstairs, the lounge is at the front of the Tenbury with a feature bay window.

“We’ve made the most of this space by furnishing it with a statement window seat in a classic blue and silver fabric, that’s very much on trend. The two sofas are also in classic blue, with cushions in the same fabric as the window seat. A pair of five-arm lights, and matching floor lamp, all with classic blue shades create a welcoming ambience in this room,” Adele explained.

“The open plan kitchen and dining room enjoys lots of natural light, courtesy of French doors that lead out onto the rear garden. We’ve fitted a Westbury Heritage Grey style kitchen from Sigma 3 Kitchens to emphasise the airy nature of this part of the home.”

A glass dining table with grey chairs sits in front of the French doors. Geometric curtains and blinds in grey and yellow add a touch of colour and coordinate with the pendant lights above the dining table.

A utility provides a dedicated space for the washer and dryer. A cloakroom completes the ground floor.

The final homes at The Woodlands are both four-bedroom detached Tenbury style properties, priced from £429,995.

Located on Cross Common Road, the homes enjoy a village setting close to Shortlands Wood and around 20 minutes from Cardiff, including walking to the station.

The new Tenbury view home at The Woodlands is open daily from 10.30am to 5pm.
