As high demand for family homes pushes up property prices, buyers in Ross on Wye are being offered a lifeline that could help them save thousands and make their dream move.

Sold prices in Ross on Wye have reportedly increased by 6% in the last year, according to Rightmove who base their figures on Land Registry data.

As well as maintaining prices at St Mary’s Garden Village over this period, Edenstone Homes is now offering buyers the opportunity to save a fantastic 4% off selected four-bedroom homes.

Using the incentive could save purchasers more than £16,000.

Sales director Adele McCoy said: “From Herefordshire, locals in search of extra space, to people relocating from urban areas to somewhere quieter, Ross on Wye has broad appeal and has been heralded as an alternative to living in the Cotswolds. Needing more space, inside and out, has been a common factor for people wanting to move over the last year and our homes at St Mary’s Garden Village offer plenty of both.

“The spacious Farnham and Burford house types include a study without having to forego a bedroom, making them ideal if home working has become part of your new normal. For those who don’t need all four bedrooms, there’s also the option of creating a children’s play room, glamorous teenager’s dressing room or a gym, although a gym is planned within the St Mary’s community hub as part of the new neighbourhood.”

Using the fantastic 4% discount a Burford style property is available from £393,595; while the larger Farnham can be purchased from £417,595. Both homes are detached and benefit from a garage.

In both properties the lounge and study are at the front, with open plan kitchen, dining and family rooms at the rear, with direct access out to the garden. They also feature the convenience of a utility and cloakroom.

Upstairs, the main bedroom in each property has an en-suite and dressing area, with the family bathroom serving the remaining three bedrooms.

St Mary’s Garden Village is a 290-home development, being shaped by Edenstone Homes and Bluebell Homes. Between them, there’s plenty of choice ranging from two-bedroom bungalows to spacious family-sized homes.

When it comes to location it doesn’t get much better than St Mary’s Garden Village. From The Retreat, a covered viewing platform over a pond, there’s the chance to enjoy stunning views of St Mary’s Church. Allotments and a play area are among the neighbourhood facilities due to launch this spring.
